Cullture as

a Weapon.

Born in Japan as a military brat to an Australian mother and a Gullah Geechee father hailing from Charleston, SC– my multi-racial lived experience informs my work and propels my multidisciplinary practice forward.

My practice is rooted in the language of material and form, where the visual becomes a space for both refuge and reckoning. Working across painting, ceramics, fibers, and experiential graphic design, I move fluidly between mediums, guided by aesthetic intuition, a reverence for craft, and a deep engagement with the physical act of making.

I graduated from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 2017 with a BFA in interdisciplinary Studies and additional concentrations in Visual Communications and Fiber Material Studies. I paint. I write. I create intentitional vessels with clay and strongly feel that learning new things is the spice of life.
